Meet our clinical experts & operations team
Hi, I’m Emily, the Founder and Managing Director of Active Step. Active Step started out as just me and a few basic bits of equipment, working out of a rented space in Whiteley. My vision was to create a much needed centre of excellence for the lower limb, foot and ankle for our local community and I’m proud to say that with the support of my amazing team, we have done just that.

Hi I’m Catherine, I hail from the lovely Emerald Isle and have happily settled in the UK. I attained an Honours Degree in Podiatry from the University of Brighton. My interest in feet stemmed from training as a Reflexologist, which triggered my curiosity to further explore the importance of caring for feet and the often forgotten role feet play in living life to the full. I like exploring the New Forest walking trails & surrounding areas in my spare time.

Hi, My name is Beth. I am currently doing my 3 year podiatry degree apprenticeship here at Active Step. Having previously worked in a specialised running trainer shop, I have a strong interest in running trainers and biomechanics. When I am not at work you’ll probably find me training at the gym!

Hi, my name is Jenny. After 10 years of working in front of house and admin roles in the theatre, Active Step is my first foray into the world of medical care. My passion is musical theatre and when I am not working I can usually be found at the theatre in rehearsals or practising vocals and choreography in my living room. My other hobbies include knitting, cooking and taking long walks in the countryside.

Hi I’m Chloe. After 8 years working in medical sales you will now find me behind the desk here at Active Step ready to welcome you to clinic. When I’m not at work I mainly spend my time wrangling 2 small children and 2 hairy doggos. As well as enjoying crochet and all things crafty!

FAQs
No referral is needed. You can book directly with us for fast access to treatment.
Some services are available through the NHS, but access is limited and waiting times can be long. At Active Step, you’ll see a specialist quickly with personalised care.
This depends on your condition. Some issues can be resolved in a single visit, while others (like sports injuries) will require a course of treatment or ongoing regular management.
